DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning & Initiation
- Define scope, objectives and success criteria with clients and stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, WBS, schedules (Primavera P6/MS Project) and resource allocations.
- Internal presentation for the project scope and management methodology
- Execution & Monitoring
- Coordinate cross-functional teams (engineering, construction, HSE, QA/QC, commercial) and subcontractors.
- Track progress against baselines, implement recovery plans for any delays, and manage change requests.
- Budget & Cost Control
- Establish and control budgets; approve expenditures, change orders and payment applications.
- Forecast cost trends and recommend savings measures without compromising quality.
- Quality, Health & Safety
- Ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements (OSHAD/ADOSH).
- Oversee inspections, audits and incident investigations in coordination with QA/QC and HSE teams.
- Stakeholder & Client Management
- Serve as primary contact for clients, consultants and authorities.
- Conduct status meetings, prepare progress reports and manage expectations.
- Risk & Issue Management
- Identify risks, develop mitigation plans and escalate critical issues appropriately.
- Contract & Change Management
- Administer contracts, negotiate claims and maintain change logs to protect company interests.
- Close-Out & Handover
- Lead commissioning, snagging, as-built documentation and client handover. Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned.
Qualifications & Requirments
- Education: Bachelors in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field
- Experience: 15-20 years in the UAE construction/infrastructure sector, with ≥ 5 years in a leadership role
- Certifications: PMP (PMI) or Prince2 Practitioner preferred
- Technical Skills: Primavera P6/MS Project, MS Office, ERP/project-controls tools
- Knowledge: UAE Building Code, FIDIC/NEC contracts, local approvals
- Core Competencies: Leadership, communication, negotiation, analytical problem-solving, stakeholder management
